srt 4 tranny in my 02 se???
i am looking for an 04-05 with lsd for my 02 neon.... my car has been built and would like a stronger tranny with lsd in it to kinda keep the car on the road and not get to squirly on me..... anyway, i am looking to perchase one along with a tranny mount with it.... can anyone help me out, do any of u know where there is a junk yard that may have parts for an srt kickin around?? i am also looking for the rear disk brakes also????? so any help with locating some of these used would be very helpfull

not sure on the bolt up of the trans, but I saw a complete rear disc brake set up on ebay it was for pretty cheap, not sure if its still going, just keep cheaking there for the rear brakes
acording to the guys in the sec gen forum on DF it is a direct bolt up>?? but i want to make 110% sure before i buy a used tranny......
does anyone know what the accuall internal difference is between the 2.0 and srt trannys???? i know they have a different clutch, but they use the same cv shafts as my 02.... does any one have specifics or know where i can go to get them???? such as gear ratios? or sincros being stronger due to the higher hp of a stock srt???
the thing that i am really scared about is getting a tranny from an srt then loosing third gear, i have seen that to be a big problem with the t850 tranny

Well I know that the SRT tranny are stronger, everything internally is alot stronger then a sxt trans, due to the amount of power that it was made to handel. The SRT have equal length axles, where as the sxt does not. I have heard that the engein block have the same part number, so in this aspect it should bolt up. Not sure on what the ratio's are I think someone posted them on here already, just look, it wasnt that long ago. I personally have not had any probs with 3rd, some do and some don't.
how can the engines have the same part number when one is a us built 2.0 and the other is a mexican built 2.4? that makes a lot of sense.

i think i am going to try my stock 2.0 tranny, i am sure i will smoke it in about a week or two running that much power, but we will just have to see........

^ i have seen the rebuild costing up two 1500 to get the tranny fixed?? did dodge come out with a solution or recall on them?? if so maybe i would spend alittle bit more money to get one that the problem has been solved?
