hey all! the lorenzo 60mm throttle body finally went in today, so we took a pic of the new one next to the stock one so everyone can see the difference. this is a great piece, really well made and it fits perfectly!

that looks great... I am going to ask a stupid question, but how much does that help? do you have to change anything else for that to be effective? I have looked at getting a larger throttle body, but diddn't know how much was involved.

not that much is involved. you don't have to change anything else, and lorenzo has very detailed directions that make it easy to change it yourself. the only tricky part is the tps sensor, but even that it's too bad as long as you're careful when removing it.

lorenzo has reported 14hp gains with his set up if i remember correctly, but people have said that it's a low number. i can tell you more definetly after i go to the dyno. there is much better throttle response with the new piece in, and faster spool as well.

ok update now that i had a chance to really test this thing out last night. the butt dyno is definetly happy!!! before the tb, i would get a little hesitation around 3-5 psi before it would climb up, and it was a gradual climb. now i hit the gas and it's just like bam! 20 psi in an instant. no hesitation, no studder, nothing. it just goes like hell. it's awesome!!! definetly a must buy

Someone around here with S3R has a TB and his pedal is stiff as hell to push down. I mean STIFF as hell. I can't remember the company offhand. Did you get that with yours? Or is it still the same as stock?

that is a common issue with the iceman tb. the lorenzo doesn't have that issue. the petal feels a little lighter than stock and is more responsive, that's the only difference.

Awesome, I was wondering if a larger TB would help out or the power would just remain the same. Hey congrats on the new TB!!

I have been wanting to get a larger throttle body. I'm suprised that the Iceman TB is having issues, I wonder if they've fixed it. My only concern with the Lorenzo is that it has a lighter pedal feel, seems like it might be more prone to hanging open, do they have something to fix that? I like decent pedal feel, not too light or too stiff, but more to the stiffer side. I'll just have to wait and see what comes of the throttle bodies out there before I choose one.

roadrunner, that is not a problem with lorenzo's tb's. he has been making these for a while now for other gen neons, and has never had that happen. the srt tb was tested for about 6 months before ever released to ensure that everything was fine.

it is slightly lighter than the stock petal, but you get used to it very fast. the only thing i have to watch now is that when i give it gas it responds a lot quicker now then before, so i have to watch at lights and things that i don't take off like a madwoman! i'm sure that i'll get used to it soon enough and that won't be a problem shortly
