I spoke with them, and they gave me an estimate of 1600.00 not including the head unit and sub. I am an idiot, because I never new that there was a release in the glove box. The glove box was open, so I guess they just wanted to f*ck my car up. That also explains why there is no damage to the trunk lid itself.[:@]

They are dunbass i bet they found the botton after they messed with the trunk. So check it out they are trying to pry the trunk open. Then you see the light turn on over his head. Dam maybe there is a button in the glove box. How Fing stupid. I hope they get found. Or better yet i hope somebody rips them off and they find out what it feels like.

A lot of people are jealous of SRT-4's and will screw with them (when you're gone) just to be mean. The guy who keyed my SRT-4 cost me over $700 in new paint. Someday soon I'm going to have the dealer activate the factory alarm, just to help even the odds a little......

My factory alarm is activated. The car was locked, and the light was blinking. The only thing that alarm does is prevent someone from stealing the car. The person who stole the radio must have just hung through the window and not opened the door. I really appreciate all of the support from everyone.

Sorry to hear about that.[sm=imsorry.gif] There is another simple way to get into the trunk without causing any damage, but I won't mention it here so other criminals can find out how. It is obvious that the beat the **** out of your car just to cause damage, there isn't even a scratch on your trunk lid and if they were trying to do that it would be bent up where they were prying on it. I would say that it's someone that either knows you or simply knows of the car and what might be in it.[:@][:@][:@]

I honestly think that it was someone that knew the car. My windows are also tinted which brings attention to the car. I also agree that they beat the car just to cause damage. I didn't even know about the trunk release in the glove box untill after this happened. I never needed to use it because I always used the keychain.

that sucks man. i work at a mall, and had my first car, a 91 hatchback civic (modded) stolen one day while i was working and it was found 4 days later stripped bare...i am hesitant about bringing my car to the mall and parking it, and whenever possible I take my mothers SXT. are SRT-4's as easy to steal as civics and integras? cause if so, i'm gonna have to start leaving mine home whenever i work...

No. They require the microchip that is in the key to start the car, it is coded to your cars PCM and cannot be started without it.
