I went to the hospital to visit my very sick mother last night and came outside at 8:30 pm to find my Kenwood Head unit and livin loud sub stolen. They broke the front pas window and somehow pried the trunk open. They did not damage the trunk lid, but toor up the quarter panel. I have no idea how they got in. Does anyone have any clue. Is there a trick using the child saftey latch or something?

 

looks to me that they knew you and knew what you had in the car.... because the head unit looks like nothing special in the SRT...so how would some no body know u have a sub in the back with a stock looking head unit...i say the person knows you man

 

It was an aftermarket Kenwood excelon. They knew how to pop these cars easily, and what was inside of them. especially the trunk. I moved here in the summer and don't know too many people yet. I don't discuss my systems with anyone except close friends for that reason.

 

Sorry to hear that people suck. Its not even like the kicker box is that great or anything i have one in my car. Dont really know why someone would steel it. At the end of this month im getting a pager alarm.

That really sucks!!!!![:@] I hope you find the azzhole who did that. Why wouldn't they use the trunk release rather than dent the quarter panel? What a TARD.

I forgaot to tell you guys that I got the estimite back. $1600.00 not including the head unit and sub. Anyone know how much that sub costs though Dodge?

Yeah seriously, if they broke into the car in the first place, why not POP the fkn trunk instead of dickering around with the quarter panel??? They musn't have been too familiar with the car's then, because our trunk release is in the glove compartment. If they knew the SRT/neons well, they would've known that, but apparently they didn't.

Thats terrible, I'm soo sorry . I hope everything works out okay with insurance for you.

And I hope your mother gets better soon as well. One bad thing is never enough, it sucks, bigtime . Did you talk to your insurance co yet at all?
