What she said. It is the same either way, because you are essentially doing the same thing, which is grounding out the circuit causing the fan to kick on. The only difference in the two ways is where you are attaching your 'ground' wire. The way PSI Chick mentioned is technically the right way to do it (wired in, taped up, etc). The way I suggested is the lazy way of doing it (no wire splicing or anything of the sort). Took me about 15 minutes total. Although i have not once had a problem with it and it works just the same.

No the fan will not keep running if you run it the toggle switch way. [/align][/align]I have mine run the other way, by tripping the relay itself. The ground wire is run from the closest blade of the relay to the negative battery terminal. The fan switches on as soon as the car is on, be it accessory or ignition. And no even if its done this way the fan will shut off with the ignition. [/align]
