cant decide
alrite i really wanted an srt-4 and been lurking around the forums for a while (this and srt-4 forums) but now i decided to transfer away to school and wont be able to pay off a loan. So i plan on getting a car i can afford w/o a loan... any suggestions.... i have about $7000 to spend and want something quick stick and reliable. i was thinking mabey a gsx but i have no clue about them... fill me in plz
i would say a gsx or gst, a first gen. they can be monsters if ya throw a lil time and money in them.I would look around for a 4g63t first gen. Someone who has already done the swap. Or you could probably find a first or second gen neon, I was looking and found both the, first gen and secong gen's for under $1,500 running or not, and but an srt-4 motor(i bought my new srt4 complete motor/trans/turbo for $1,750.00 plus shipping) and do a swap. You could have one quick sleeper. Spend that money wisely, and do not rush it,and you will not be dissapointed. You could even stoop low and buy a turbo'd honda for that much..... Good luck, let us know what happens
ya im not interested in a salvage car b/c i wud never feel safe going fast in it. As for the gsx y do u say a 1st gen.... i like the looks of the 2nd gen much better. and i dont think i have the experience or knowledge to do an srt swap.
You caould pay a shop to do the swap for you. I am not sure if a gsx is hard to come across or not, and i do not know anything about volvo's. I say a first gen only cuz your limited on your cash flow.
i was told that a gsx would eat my money(im assuming mods./maintaining it) and to wait a year and buy an srt in my price range
