NEW. Pickin up my SRT4 tommorow!
Hey everyone,im new here and am picking up my SRT4 tommorow. i went and test drove it today and fell in love. At first i went to the dealership to look at an integra, but they didnt have any. I really hated neons too, but only cuz i knew nothing about them and never took the time to admire the SRT4 (My parents bought me a 98, purple POS for first car is why). Its not even a neon! anyway, i am tryin to get it for 12000, and the dealer said he can do that, but then showed me a figure of 13,500. now i was wondering, because it does have 69k miles, do you think its a good deal for 13.5, or should i try my hardest to get him down to 12k? it has clean car fax, its bone stock, and looks brand new! no joke.
well if its got that kinda mileage i would try and shoot lower also....but if it looks brand new thats gonna be kinda hard...I say 13000 would be a good call..
Its an 03. and it really does look brand new, and it has all the maintnance records from dealership, but after sleepin on it, i have realized, it has to come down to 12,000 mainly cuz the milage, its not a honda, so its not going to last 300k+ lol. how long do srt4s ussually last? i was thinkin 150-200+.
Man, thats a good question on these motors, they are built tough, and I mean TOUGH, and they can take the abuse that people like (PSI Chick and lblackneon) can throw at them...hehehehe...and others including myself.
Good question, my guess would be 200,000before a rebuild? With proper maintenance of course.

haha yea, i havent really researched much on them, but they seem like a good solid, fun car. im going to hopefully pick it up here soon, but i will only get it if the dealer comes down on the price.

I've already racked 97k on my 04 mostly due to traveling for health related reasons. There is one inTexas at 160k and a few over that.I would try to get them down to 12k, and if you can only get them to 13k or 12,5 then thats still not too bad. My friend paid about that for his SRT with similar mileage last August. But to find them in pristine condition is the key. Most have had rough lives, and have been traded in for a different performance sport compact. So finding one pristine is rare. Theres one at a dealership by me, literally only has 14k miles on it, the car is BRAND ****ing new, never been modified at all. They're asking around $16k for it. So pristine ones are out there just hard to find. Good luck and welcome
