If you are talking about the belt mouldings (the mouldings underneath the window that run horizontally) then use Mother's Back to Black on them. If you are talking about the B Pillar pieces (that run vertically between the two doors) use Turtle Wax Black (NOT Back to Black it will just smear)

A lot of people on the other forum claim that Mr Clean's Magic Eraser does wonders for the trim. Haven't tried it myself though...

I hate that stupid eraser. Its supposed to clean everything. I used it on my stove and it did nothing. Its not an issue of removing a layer of film or debris from something, more that you need to bring the color back because its faded. Which is where the Mothers and Turtle Wax come in dependant upon which one is "bad".

would it be easier to just replace the trim vs trying to bring the color back?

Its not easier to replace them. You need to take the entire door apart, take the glass out, etc. to replace them. They are also quite pricey. The belt mouldings (the horizontal pieces on the bottom of the window that are plastic) run around $50 a piece my cost. So $200 for those. The run channels for the rear doors are $120/piece, and the run channels for the front doors are $140/piece. So thats a total of $720 to replace those. If you want to replace the B-pillars as well: Those are 30.95 and 32.95 for the front two and 32.75 and 35.45 for the rear two. Total: 852.10
You are better off spending less than $20 on restoration products that will work every time. But if you want the parts I'll get you the part numbers for the prices I gave you out of my crashbook from Mopar.
