Default Race Trac

I went to test and tune on Saturday at an 1/8 mile track here in Texas. I was playing alot with the car to see what i could get it to. My first time slip is

R/T .557
60' 2.566
330' 6.636
MPH 59.24
1/8 9.889
MPH 75.60

Best Run after like 13 lol

R/T .257
60' 2.172
330 5.988
MPH 61.35
1/8 9.112
MPH 78.08

This was against a Trans Am and i had him off the line it got to about mid track when he passed me. Man i was liking being in front of him his time was as follows.

R/T .438
60' 2.097
330 5.737
MPH 64.90
1/8 8.680
MPH 83.42

Sweet I've yet to get my car to a track, NED opens up in April, and has test and tunes almost everyday, not too sure if I"m gonna run it yet, but it might be fun. Here you need a helmet 13.99 or under...so I'll have to get one of those first incase I run under a 14 second pass.

Damn you and your warm weather

Where is NED? I'm from CT so I'm not too far from you. I would like to run the track this year.

Not bad. I wish I had the good weather and time to make even half that many runs.

you think that's bad, we got great weather here 300 or so days a year, but my local track opens for drags for only 2 days a month........sheesh, wazzup with that? on top of that, on the opening week end in feb. i think i'll be in veags. i wil however get my srt-4 on the tarmac and see if my 04 is as fast as my ol' 03 was. i kinda want a reference, before i do more engine mods. anyone out there try any autocross yet?

hey dude- don't think i'm trying to be an ***, b/c i'm really not- i'm probably reading something wrong, so i wanted to ask- you said you had the trans am 'till mid track but his 60' and 330 are both better than yours- maybe you posted the numbers backwards or something?
also, i just wanted to ask if you had run the car w/ the stock wheels, b/c a buddy of mine put koenigs on his car and his times went down significantly due to their greater weight. just thought you might be interested.
either way, it's cool to see people at the track- keep it up!

Ok your reaction time does not change your 60' or 330' time at all. Your time does not start till you leave your lights. So his 60' time would not change cause he fell asleep at the light. His car is still faster so i left the light in half the time he did and got him there. His car still makes up the difference in the run. He just didnt beat me as well as the first few times. I wouldnt think you were being an ***. Alot of people think that the reaction time is also counted in your trac time this is not correct.

Well the track is not open yet for braket racing. So before the season starts they open what they call test and tune. So the big fast *** cars go out and practice to get ready for there season. Adjust what ever they need to check if they have to fix anything before its start and so on. TEST AND TUNE

it sucks being out of town so much b/c i come home and find threads that have died months ago that i responded to. i just wanted to clarify that i know that r/t's don't count in your e.t.- i guess i wasn't in the "heads-up" mode of thought- i was thinking when you said you "had him" you were talking about times.
i don't know why i feel compelled to clarify that. guess i can't bear to have anyone think i didn't know that. does that mean i have a complex? oh well, i'm still going to post it...
