That AEM ems is def. nice to have. U can get more out of the car by adjusting the ignition and decreasing the knock. At 22 psi, I get about 3ish knock retard at the max. I wouldn't want to go any further. I bet if I had the EMS instead of my Detec FC/BC, I wouldn't have any knock.

i ran 26psi on a dtec fc/wga/mbc and didn't get any knock. if you're seeing that much then something else is going on.

As for bumping up the boost, a real "cheap" way to add about 3 PSI is to make a small pinhole in the little black hose coming off the wastegate, maybe with a 1/8" drill bit. I'm sure a lot of people on here will frown on that but it will definitely make your car boost higher. My friend is a mechanic at a dealership and he said they actually did this to a few cars that came into the shop because they weren't boosting
yeah deffinately an example of what not to do to get boost! and if a mechanic is doing that because the SRT is not boosting thats a **** mechanic and can't find the problem and should not be allowed to work on them. i've never even heard of that...and would that make you loose boost instead of Gaining boost?? but yeah don't follow that advice...go step by step to gain power. just remember the more boost you wanna run the more fuel you're going to need. so get a high flow fuel pump and go with the stages and you should be fine when it comes to HIGH BOOST!

ummm. what's a wide band? i assume a wga is a wastegate? maybe i'll take some pics of the motor and post them on here. ive got something called an icebox that definately looks after market. i've also got that other button that has the 100+ with a gas pump on it, maybe that's for adding higher octane fuel or something for when i'm on the 3rd mode. thanks a lot for the help.

a wideband monitors your air/flue ratios. you really need one.

i HIGHLY suggest you do not take the above advice and make a bleeder. there's a right way and a wrong way to do things, and that's definetly the wrong way. while it does work, it's not safe.
Haha see I told you they would frown on it ! I DID say it wasn't the "right" way, right?

No, he's definitely not a **** mechanic and has been working at Chrysler/Dodge dealerships for 20+ years. I don't think he personally did this to any SRT-4s but he told me that this was done to a few that came in the shop for low boost and THAT's WHAT DODGE TOLD THEM TO DO!!!!! And no, you don't lose boost you gain it. Not only will it spike and hold higher PSI, It is a difference you can definitely feel.

Also, as I said in the original post, it isNOT the real right way to gain boost, but it works. And I like to live dangerously. When you havean extendedwarranty and a friend at the dealership things like that aren't a big deal. However, I don't think it's as dangerous as everyone thinks, just kinda taboo. The PCM tapers off the boost to about 15-16 PSI so it doesn't cause problems with the stock fuel setup. I'm not too sure why it would be dangerous otherwise and I've run it like this for the past 60K miles and no problems. I'm probably gonna keep it like this until Iget my Stage 1 and AGP wastegate in a few months.
