It is a Cat back exhaust so no worries just mates up to your current downpipe

 

wait you guys either are using the wrong terminology or are confused. a dump tube has nothing to do with the exhaust. a cut out and a dump tube are two completly different things.

dump tubes are technically illegal, but with obd scanning i highly doubt that they'll even know that it's on there.

 

Yeah we know it's different, I just changed the subject right there asking about the Mopar/Borla exhaust. Wanted to know if it connected to the stock cat. converter or the downpipe or what... cuz I had read somewhere it was illegal to not have a cat. converter. And about the dump tube, the treadstone/turbonetics one i showed comes with a dump tube and an optional tube to weld from the dump tube to the exhaust if you don't like the sound of an open dump tube... but I decided no dump tube instead, a friend from UTI told me it would be fine.
Correct anything for me please? lol.

a dump tube of some sort would be beneficial, even if it's one that dumps into the exhaust. if you're talking about dump tubes then you obviously are big turbo, which means that a cat-back isn't going to cut it. you need a full 3" tbe. you can get some with cats in them, but why? yes it's illegal not to have a cat, but most people don't have them and it's not really a big deal. as long as you have a stage ecu in the downstream o2 sensor reads stoich so it won't throw a code.

I don't know exactly what that is or what to get or what it's gonna cost me... < Could you please elaborate on this? And I'm thinking of upgrading the turbo maybe after a year or so of having the car. I could probably just change out the exhaust, or I guess I will look into a 3" exhaust because my goal will be ~400hp, save me some dough.

 

And how benificial and in what ways would the dump tube be, benificial?
And could you name some 3" exhausts? Price if it's on the top of your head, if not it's cool.

 

And what's the difference between a turbo-back and cat-back?

That's around 3inch isn't it? Or is this a decent kit?

 

A tubo back exhaust is a complete exhaust, a cat back replaces the exhaust from the cat back, not replacing the downpipe
