Default what to do???

Well I have owned my 03 sxt neon for about a month now. After visiting the local dodge dealership they had a srt4 for 14,XXX with 15,XXX miles on it. I was thinking hmm... maybe i should trade my car in and whatever i owe just put it on to the $14,XXX that they want for the car and I will still be paying the same amount per month. Since the contract that I am in now is for 3 years at 189$ every two weeks, if I went through with this I would probably pay the same amount if not 15-30 dollars more every two weeks for a much better in my opinion car for the money i am paying out. Just wanted to know what you guys would do in this situation since moving from a sxt 03 to a srt4 04 is a big jump. thanks in advance for the input.

How old are you? Don't forget that car insurance rate WILL go up and the SRT-4 isn't the most ecomical when it comes to gas. These are also finacial situations you need to consider.

Owning a SRT-4 is going to cost you more than the SXT in operating and insurance costs..not to mention the cost of the vehicle.

I'm 19 going 20 in a few weeks, live on my own, and recently just got my new job so insurance/gas/school is paid for and i got a nice lump sum in savings so all that is not a problem for me its just the fact of the srt4's ability to stay reliable and not constantly break. I don't plan to drive like a idiot but spirited runs here and there won't hurt.

I've had my SRT-4 since October 2004 and the only problem I've had with it was the E-brake wasn't adjusted the way I liked it..the dealership said it was fine but I wanted them to tighten it up a bit. As far as reliability is concerned..as long as you "take care" of it and "maintain" it...I don't see why it won't last for a very, very long time.

Sounds like you've got your head screwed on right Low ball the crap out of them and don't accept anything less than a grand over what you owe. If you aren't having any probs with your car. If you like your current car than fight for the best deal. I wish I would have fought for a better deal but I rushed into it because it was the only dealer without a mark up. Break'em down!

As far as reliability you will have a warranty and if anything has happened they have either already taken care of it or it will happen after you get it so don't get buyers remorse. You are getting a good deal considering I have an o4 and owe way more than what you will be paying for yours. I have mods and have stretched the legs on the srt and it runs and feels like a champ. I say "DO IT!"
