yeah a guy i know named Alex (Ran a 12.7) took his stock spoiler stock exhaust has one big *** tip on it lol...it looks almost just like a neon except the body kit rims and suspension...oh and he has the loudest bov ive ever heard on any car...it sounds rediculous but yeah i know what your sayin man

 

I think it will be hard for most people to get past its Neon styling influence - but that does not mean they're wrong either, it just isn't an ordinary Neon. I get the "but it's a Neon" a lot and I've learned to accept that. But everytime they drive the "SRT-4", they are simply astonished at what it can do and how it sounds. It's during the first time they punch it or take it quick into a corner that their face lights up and a big grin appears. In any event, most car people know the SRT-4 or will do a doubletake to make sure it is one. I've been on other car forums and they all know the car and respect the SRT-4's performance capabilities. And IMHO, that's the bottom line

 

I have had my SRT for 4 months now. I have had atleast a dozen people try to race me. But what i find most is that people will see my car in a mall parking lot or at a gas station and start chatting it up with me. Most of the time they know more about the car then me, heh. But i have had at least 5 or 6 people talk to me about what a great car it is and that they are saving up for one.

 

I just started coming here the neon does sound good but does not have a muscle car sound maybe with some good exhaust work it could at times. Everyone is always going to mistake your cars for regular neons because no one wants to learn anything about them. You will get some attenntion, but probably more if you drive it right. As for those people that don't like american cars f off and get out of america if its not good.

 

I want the sleeper look to keep cops off of my ***, and the bogey man out of my car. I am looking for a new trunk lid because I want to keep the wing. I may have one of my friends at a body shop fill the holes and repaint it, but I would rather have a different lid. Sleeper cars rock!!

 

to the normal person, they probably will just think that your car is a neon, but then again, most people don't know the difference between a lightning and a regular F-150...anyone who knows anything about cars enough to appreciate them will know what it is, and if they don't then it doesn't matter anyway

 

Since i got the srt rims and wing on my car i got over 30 people thinking it was an srt. It sucks knowing its not but many people still think its hott once i put the kit on.[:'(] I personally dont want it to exactly like it but i love the rims and spoiler so i put it on. But i dont care what other cr@p people say bout it.

 

its a neon in most peoples eyes around here... no one challenges me to race.. ever. it sucks.

 

Maybe there are too many SRT4s around your area? Around here, I haven't seen anything that resembles an SRT4 for months. I saw a black one a long time going the opposite way on the highway of me, but that was south of my town. I almost pulled a U-turn and went after it!!! I would imagine thats part of the reason everyone thinks mine is one, is because it does look like one from the rear if you don't know what you're looking for, plus there is a serious lack of them around here.

 

I don't get many trying to race me, but it does happen from time to time.
