Srt body on regular neon
I think as long as it doesn't have srt badges thats cool. It's not gonna look good thats for sure. Yeah the neon is going away. It won't be long before the base neon and srt-4 are a forgotten market. We were sport compact of the year 2003 and I haven't seen much about the 05 neon anything other than the 350z gold color(let the flaming begin). It's just going to cause alot of crap talk against srt-4 owners(not unusual) and it will give kids who can't afford a real srt a chance to have a look alike.
What do you mean not going to look good? Its practically the same thing body style as an SRT4. I mean, take a look at the front. I can tell its not a "real" SRT4 because for 1.) its lacking the front mount, and 2.) its missing those air vents that are on both sides of the dodge emblem. Take a look for yourself, got pictures of SRT wannabe and the SRT4 ACR at the auto show last week.

Ewww it's hideous! OK I know you own an SXT so you like the base neon look. Don't get me wrong here. I love the way my SRT looks but you have to look completely like an SRT to look like an SRT. It's missing the nostrils unless it's just too dark to see and is it sporting the wing? True, looking at it more it does look very similar but on the dodge page they have a different front facia on the advertised neon that looks pretty sharp. Don't take offense but i don't like look of the neons from 2000 up. Actually the only neon I like is the 2001 neon RT. That R/T was the only model that year that had a different front than the rest. The same idea as the SRT to the base neon. I wanted one so bad. I owned a 98 forest green neon highline sedan. Loved it and the way it looked. I have a thing for front facias. The base neon doesn't look aggressive to me and using the front bumper from the SRT will just make it look like a poser.( I can take flaming, hell I'm in baghdad! Bring it! At least you get to drive your car

the only issue i forsee is the problem if stupid people trying to race srt-4 look-alikes and beating them, then going off about how slow the srt-4 is and they can kick it's ***. doesn't matter much i guess, gives us an advantage if they think that we're slow.

of course you will get those losers who would mistaken a regular neon for an SRT, but if anyone knows anything abouyt cars, once they don't hear a spool, they should know right away
They aren't SRT-4 parts. If you had a picture of an SX2.0 with the SRT styling kit that wasn't black it would show you they look absolutely NOTHING alike. From behind they're similar....the fronts dont match up at all. So there won't be "more SRT parts around" because they arent the same thing. Its an entirely different bumper, an entirely different hood, etc etc.
