My sunroof stops when closing sometimes now. What should I look for with this problem, could it be debris in the track or cracked arms and or track? My fear is opening it back up to investigate and not getting it closed again. the subi legacy I drove had the right idea, a rod stashed in the console to manually crank it when trouble happened with the motors/switches.

 

the sun roofs have a habit of popping off the track. check that everything is aligned properly.

 

mine has popped off track before, no biggie. but as you said, wouldnt hurt to check to see if there is debris in there or something.
