Problemmm
a couple things i used to boost 20 and hold it but now i peak 20 and drop to like10-15, so i bought the agp hardpipes and the hks ssqv still bleeding off boost and the compressor surge is worse than with the mopar blue plate, wastegate i believe is still good it the kinetic, any anwsers???
also ill go to romp on it and it backfires on me?? bad spark plugs? ignition timing?
any help would be good!
oh and any tips on launches would also be nice, should i let it tach out in first??

Taching out in first gear is not good for an FWD launch. Those that drag race their cars can tell you better but I would believe a start at 3,000RPMs with no solid mounts or anything of the sort would be good. Feather first and second and then romp on it to prevent wheel hop. You will still get some though. If you want to start launching better, pick up some solid motor mounts first off. They are a must have for these cars. Traction bars, H-Braces, etc. will give you less wheel hop along with other suspension modifications but the motor mounts are first and foremost. If you tach this car out in first....expect to lose an axle....crack your oil pan or both.
As for the boost, you shouldn't be holding 20lbs of boost AT ALL on a stock fuel system. No more than 16psi hold or you're running way too lean. Peaking 20 and dropping is far more of the norm for your setup. I would turn the boost down to 17-18lbs spike on the wastegate and you'll feel a much harder pull with it dropping from 17 to 15. The car will also be much happier with you. You are going to get compressor surge with a wastegate like the Kinetic because the boost comes on too fast for the wheel of the turbo to compensate for it. Stay out of PTB and you won't have an issue.
The car is probably backfiring on you due to an ignition related issue. Your spark plugs aren't gapped for that type of boost, not to mention the boost isn't even normal. Whats the mileage on the car? How long have the plugs/wires been in there? Are you stock PCM (another thing that could be causing the backfiring)? Do you have PCM controlled boost? If you changed the plugs, what are they and what is their gap?
My suggestions until I know more info:
- Turn the boost down to a 16-17lb spike ESPECIALLY if you are stage 0.
- If you haven't changed the plugs/wires...Do so.
- Boost leak test the car.

i have the solid motor mounts just havent installed em, i forgot to mention that im stage 2 and i have about 43000 miles, not sure when they were changed last were on when i bought the car, what spark plugs would you recomend?? thanks
Denso ITLs if you want to run Iridiums and NGK #4306 if you want to run Copper.
I would turn the boost up to around 18-19psi spike if you are S2. But you do have an ignition cut out issue for sure. Check the plugs/wires and go from there. But even with S2 you shouldn't hold 20lbs of boost.

ok sounds good, another question for ya i just bought the hahn race craft 20g kit with port fueler, but it didnt come with the exhaust manifold gasket, is there anywhere i could get one? could i use the stock one? also how hard would it be to install or should i get it done professionally
You can buy a new exhaust manifold gasket from the dealer for around $15 if it uses the same manifold. I'm not sure about the Hahn kits and what they use. If it doesn't use the stock manifold then you could always buy gasket material and high temp RTV and cut your own out. The installs aren't difficult at all but you may want a friend to help you along for entertainment, and for actual help.
