This my second ticket in 3 months! I was going 76 in a 70 zone. I guess he just wanted a closer look @ my car! 2 other cars passed me doing 80-84 just 5 min before I got pulled over! He was on the right hand shoulder just around a long radius right turn, so I went to the left lane on a 4 lane highway! Before entering the turn I was going 72, but I admit I did not look @ my Speedo while I was in the turn because I saw a car pulled off the road on the right side! He ticked me for driving in the left lane also! So now I guess the Smokey’s would rather you go by them in the right lane when they are/or have someone else pulled over, **** I thought I was just being courteous to who ever was on the shoulder!
That is the Last F---en time I care who is pulled off the road, if there on the pavement they are open game! That's for sure!

Damn you guys have 70mph posted speed zones?? The fastest here is 65mph. And usually for 5 or 6 over, even 10 over they don't bother you. The amount they'd write the ticket for just doesn't mean that much to them. Unless its end of shift and they really need to bang out a ticket before they head back to HQ, in which case THEN they get ya.

I was talking to a cop when my friend's car died on me (also an SRT-4) and he was saying that when he hears that exhaust he FINDS reasons to pull the SRT-4 over. Which is a bit rude I must say, but still not right by any stretch of the imagination. Cops can be such dicks and are definitely judgemental based on what you drive....but there isnt really anything you can do except drive the posted speed and pray you don't get run over by the ******** going 15 over.[&:]

The only thing that happened to me in my SRT was my friend was driving like a fkn tool, and the cop pulled him over. My friend points all the blame on me!!!! So the cop gave me a 5 day tag for my plate being under the grille!!!! [:@] But I got that taken care of...thanks to Paul . Thanks again for that hunn.

I don't speed in my SRT anymore. They're so loud you can't even be stealthy about it. [>:]

 

That sux. Thats why I got a radar detector, they aren't perfect, but at lwast they tell you when they are doin radar in the area.

 

I'v been driving since 1986 and have never received a ticket...not even a parking ticket.

Might not be the cops...it actually might be you.

 

Now that you said that you'll be the next one to get a ticket. I said that once and it was the next day I got a ticket for speeding.

 

knock on wood, i've been driving since the summer of 03 with my srt-4 and no tickets, however i've been pulled over like 4 times and told to slow down, it helps to know some people and it doesn't hurt to work at the local hospital, either. sorry about your ticket woes.

 

i haven't had any trouble in the srt yet but when i was in arizona i got caught racing and was given an $850 ticket by the cop. though you could say he was being nice because he could have thrown me in jail for that one.... 69+ in a 30 is what the ticket was actually writen for. thank god for drivers safety course though.... ticket was dropped and the class only cost $50.

 

You got really lucky, that would not only have gotten you thrown in jail here but you probably would have lost your car as well.[:@]
