Default How do you pay for your parts?

I've noticed that the vast majority of you guys and gals have several performance and body modifications done to your vehicles and I'm just wondering how in the world you pay for them? I know I'm young but you guys who put stage 1-3 turbo and CAI and Catback exhaust and rims and stuff on your cars must cost a fortune on top of what you've paid for the vehicle itself. Is it all credit cards or do most of you have badass jobs that pay really well or what? I'll be the first to admit I'm jealous[] I wish I could afford to modifiy my sxt but right now the cashflow isn't in my favor.

it's called working, and saving... dont go out and spend everything in your pocket...save a lil, and it'll add up...good luck

I have a good job... Application Engineer at NGK Spark Plugs... so... but I waited months to save up for the stage 2 and exhaust I just ordered... I don't usually drop huge sums of green, I save up for something I want... and most of the parts I order are less than $200... which I can afford if I buy a part every month

I work right now just doing pretty much nothing at toyota for $500-$620 a week, starting monday I begin as a process technition making ~$800-$1000 a week. Only bills that I have is car payment and rent (which leave me right now 2 checks a month to waste). I put all my mods on the credit card then pay it off at the end of the month. I've been saving for rims/tire, stage 2 w/ toys & exaust this winter. My goal is to have it all ordered by the end of april, and with this new position things are looking up. Wewt.

i have 3 jobs and a good tax return. plus i didn't pay that much for my car so my payments aren't very much. that allows me a little more money to play with for mods. plus i'm very good at finding deals on parts
