engine light came on after a stop at a stop sign then will driving engine began to sputter. turn car off then tried to turn on again and just would turn over but not caught then starts rev to 2000-2500 and wld start to sputter again. CAN ANYONE HELP! or am i on the way to the dealership? thanks

 

I can help.... start by the key trick.... turn your key to the on position 3 times quickly without starting the vechicle... once you do this immedialy look at your gauge cluster where your milage is and then you will see a code come up. this will be the code your computer threw it will start with a p... example P00344 or something like that... it might be multiple codes. do that then let me know what code it is

 

thanks anyways took to dealership and was covered under warranty. cam shaft position sensor was the problem. that is a cool trick though and will keep in mind if need again.

i have done a bunch of friends cars... from build bottom ends to top to all boltons to powder coating
