So as you all know I hit a curb with my car, well since I am painting my bumper in my garage i was unable to park the car in the garage and it got stolen. Whoever stole the car also wrecked into a curb but this is alot worse than what I did. The passenger front rim is pushed all the way under the car. The spokes on the rim are broken. the hub ripped thru the coilover and the conrol arms are mangled. I still dont have the car cuz its impounded so I am not too sure what other damage is done.

What parts of our front end are the same, if any, as a neon? Does anyone know of where I can buy used srt4 stuff?

How did the person steal your car? Your car has a SKIM code in the key, without it if the car is started it will die after 20 seconds (or less). I can't see how it could have been stolen without a key.

Anywho, the PT GT and SRT LCAs are the same, the neon ones are missing a piece of metal where the sway bar mounts to that is added to the SRTs for strength.

Struts, knuckles, rotors, hubs, tie rod ends, lcas, etc. are all different from neon to srt. Fenders are the same. Any other parts you are unsure of?

 

I have remote start on the vehicle, so there is a chipped uncut key hidden in the dash. The people who stole it wrecked it less than a mile from the house. i am not quite sure how they pulled it off either but the did unfortunatly. I am finishing my bumper this weekend. (painting it in my garage) once its finished I will be gettin the car outta impound and I will start rippin it apart to see how bad the damage really is.

Are there any other pt gt front end steering/suspension components that are compatible with our cars??

 

so my front passenger tire rim is broken, lower control arm is bent, axel appears to broken on the tranny side and there is a frame support that connects the lower frome to the upper, this is bent as well. So i am thinkin that the sub frame is bent up a bit and possibly in. Is this fixable.

Take it to a repair shop and have them source the correct parts for it. It should all be covered by your insurance, no?

 

No i am not going to claim it on insurance.....long story.

ok i took the car apart today and its not bad at all. The parts I need are.

Front/ rear oversized sway bar oversized sway bar:
Front lower control arm (preferably with urethenye bushings)
Passenger axel:
passenger side knuckle:

Anyone know where I can get these parts for cheap or used?? thanks for the help.

 

You can try SRTforums.com for used parts. I'd strongly recommend replacing the hub and bearing along with the knuckle. Places like Advanced and Autozone sell the assemblies for a pretty reasonable price.
