Hey all, I have been toying with the idea of getting the SRT-4. My Saab is boosted and has a Maptun ECU. It is quick but no where near SRT-4 territory.

Whats the stock HP on the 2005 Srt-4. Why the hell is this car so quick. Thanks

Its an uber torque thing. And its under rated from the factory. Boosts around 11-15psi stock (dependent upon elevation and weather conditions). Weighs around 2800lb give or take a couple hundred depending on your factory options.

Its fast as hell. Cause it knows how to use its ****.

 

Wow only 2800 lbs. That answers a few questions. Is the 05 the best model to get ?

 

04. The 05s are limited at 147 I believe. And some SRT-4s from 04 were supposedly limited at 153, but far surpassed that speed.

The 04s have the 3/36 and the 7/70. The 05s don't. If you like Orange, 05 is for you. If you like Blue, then go for an 04. I love my 04. The 05s also have a PCM thats programmed differently than that of the 04s. It doesn't create any more power or decrease any power....its just programmed differently. Causing delays on upgrades and such, and some have even had a recall for the PCM because it wasnt programmed right.

 

Good call, there is an Orange 05 parked at the Dealership, right next to an Evo-8.

 

I have an '05 i Dynoed at 224 stock i love it. Oh yea if you like the orange it gets alot looks just cause of the color. Alot of guys that i know have them in different colors and they seem to like it alot. I have yet to find another person in the DFW area in Texas driving an orange one.

Yea at the wheels. its nice also if you do get an '05 dont put a boost controller on it till you at least go stage 1. They dont like them very well.
