Boost gauge and Brake Booster replaced, loss of power?
I had my boost gauge and brake booster replaced 2 weeks ago to combat a brake problem I have been having. Since then the cars power has taken a crap. At any speed between 30 and 60 in 2nd gear, before the tires would be breaking loose at full throttle, now, hardly ever. It is significantly slower by the butt dyno, and finally, looking at the gt2 meter, it is accelerating at .50 in 2nd, where it was at .55g before.
Also the car is s2 with toys, and the boost spikes at around 15 in third, where it was at 17 before; it spikes to 18 and settles at 17 in 4th where it was around 16 before.
The mechanic who did the work is very competent, and has a s3r car, himself, so he knows the srt-4 well. He even boost leak checked the car for me and said it was tight. (He did tighten up the hose at the bottom of the turbo a little)
Can anyone come up with a reason for my power loss? It is driving me nuts.

Did you call Jay??
He would be the first one I would talk to.
Assuming that he put them in....

Yeah, I talked to Jay. He isn't sure about the problem.
I may need to mess with the wastegate a bit(It is set to 4mm now but I want to play around a little).
I wonder if the fact that there was a small boost leak in hose under turbo could have caused the car to compensate and add more boost? Could that cause a resultant power spike?

Make sure all you vaccuum lines are intact and or tight.
Check for boost leaks
Good luck

The guy who tested the car for boost leaks did cap the black line for testing.
Should I siptie all of them, like I have heard of others doing?
You will know if its loose trust me.
Well feel for everyline if it feels firm and tight don't worry about it.
Check all the boost solenoidsm check the vaccumm line by the turbo wastegate actuator, and check the main air hose feeding the booster.
NExt if you are running stage 2, check and see if the actuator adjuster didn't become loose.
Other than that the last thing to check would be the actual vaccum line feeding the boost gauge.
Good luck sir

I'll give it a shot.
Fingers are crossed.
