Default Stage 1 Snow Plow

Howdy!

I was wondering what people's opinions are on the stage one springs from Mopar. Seeing as how I live in the Great White North, I'm particularly curious as to how my SRT-4 will respond to deeper snow if I fitted it with these springs...

I'm not worried about drivin' my SRT in the snow since I already have this year. With the Blizzaks on, I could plow through anything. What I'm worried about is how it will be if the car is lowered with the Mopar springs.

I am not exactlly sure on the highth, but if the snow is higher than your front air dam, you are not goin anwhere, or shouldn't.

Dude, I got a neon with Eibachs. I live in michigan by the lakes where we get lots of snow, so I have a pretty good idea of how it will handle the snow lowered. I probably sit about 3.5-4 inches of ground clearance and with my stock tires and I plow through almost everything. I plowed through a parking lot with probably about 10 inches of snow. Now, if I had stopped I know I would have gotten stuck, but as long as I had it moving I had no problem pushing through the snow. I did get stuck one time and I was in my friends driveway. There was probably about 8 inches of wet snow and I drove my car right into it and got it stuck up on the snow. I tried to rock it loose, but couldn't break it loose. My friends pushed me and got me going again. Other then that I haven't had much trouble with it driving in the snow. Basically like it was before I lowered it. I say lower it, especially if you have blizzaks.

If you are used to driving in the snow it shouldnt be a problem.

Stage 1 springs are supposed to lower the car 1" front and back.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I think I'll go ahead and get those springs (maybe I'll get the dealer to throw the anti-roll bars on too while I'm there). Do the springs make a huge difference in the handling, or are they more or less for looks?

Yeah, they will help slightly in your handling. If you want a lot better handling I highly recommend getting some sort of sway bar setup. Sway bars will make a much bigger difference then lowering. Lowering will help looks and slight improvement handling though.
