i prefer the greddy type s or rs over the hks. the turbo xs is the loudest, but it's a pos and i woudln't suggest anyone get it. the moapr is a nice pretty blue noise maker/boost leak.

you probably didn't oil the type s, and if not, like most bov's on the market, they will fail eventually. if you went through four of them like that i'm willing to bet that you didn't.

unless you applied gasket maker or a silicone to the surge valve when installing the blue plate, then yes, i can guarantee that it's leaking. they ALL leak without sealant. nature of the beast....or toy, depending how you look at it......

really hmm.. thats weird.. the hennessy Venom viper (twin turbo) run HKS SS, the vielside skyline (1200hp) skyline runs hks SS, almost every high powered import ive seen runs HKS ss, my friend that owns a mazda shop that races for mazda runs hks and recomends nothing but hks, ive ran hks never had a problem, ive never seen a hks go bad, your friend problem has something else wroung with the car or hooked it up wroung or something. who knows
