It all depends on the situation. If I'm coming up to a light that is about to turn green I will downshift, if it has just turned red or if it's a stop sign I'll just put it in neutral. If I'm going through sharp curves or turning from one street onto another then I will downshift.

it won't really put much more wear and tear on the clutch if you heel-toe and match revs.

I downshift when the weather dictates, Snow, Ice, Rain or when trying to slow down. I can stay off the brakes more and stop myself from sliding all over the place. I also downshift in traffic when, necessary or when I am coming to a complete stop, the only gear I won’t downshift to is First!

I always down shift..but never down shift into 1st.

i down shift everytime im making a turn or coming from slow to fast driving but i put it in neutral everytime im coming to a complete stop like red light.

I downshift often, and when I do, I usually blip the throttle just before throwing it into gear. I also like to heel & toe in the twisties [8D]

Do you have air bags on that or is it just the angle of the picture? Your car looks like its just off the ground.
