Buying and installing Stage 1 will make 1st gear a little more liveable by increasing the boost and delivering more torque and power for a higher performance launch. It also has a boost hold feature during WOT shifts. Personally, I wouldn't start to worry about launch technique until I had all the mods I planned for ON the car. Then you can practice/perfect your technique with a car that is exactly what you will be driving for a long time.....[sm=smiley20.gif]

Well right now I a little low on cash. I am about to be deployed and when i get back. I am going to try to put a stage 2 on with a few more mods. but for now, I am stuck with stock and was just wondering if there was anything i could improve on from stop to start.

Well, you could try motor mount inserts (not too expensive), that will help a little. Good luck on your deployment and stay safe!!!!![sm=smiley20.gif]

The motor mount inserts should help out with any wheel hop and it will also transfer the power to the groung better. Stage 2 with toys has a boost controller and has a setting that will allow you better launches. Stage 1 will actually make it worse since it allows full boost in first gear. Another great way to improve your launch is by improving it's footprint, a wider wheel and tire combo, since the factory wheels are very frickin' narrow. If they would have only put 17 X 7's on it instead of 17 X 6's, then it might have been able to hit a sub 5 second 0-60 MPH time.

I have another question about the tires. How wide can I go? Manly, for grip and wouldn't really have to modify anything. Would 7" or could I wider?

You can possibly go wider, but they will have to start to offset otwards instead of inward the way the factory ones are, how they are flush on the outer part.
