hey all, my friends and I took it upon ourselves to install my UPP/BOV today. now i have problems when doing the "testing." my boost gauge doesnt stop at stock pressure, it goes all the way to 20psi. I have light white smoke coming out of my tips, the BOV isnt heard, and I have a massive increase in HP ( so it seems). Installed was the ATP UPP, turbo xs rfl bov, msd coil pack and wires. I have the AGP block off plate, but when going by the instructions to install the UPP; the stock BOV was left in place and it's hose went to the "T" (check valve?) that came with the UPP. so i did not use the block off plate. i'm thinking maybe there's something wrong with the way the WGA is positioned. i didnt remove it all the way, just the bolts. if anyone has any idea what could be wrong please let me know. thanks!!

dude you have the stock bov and a aftermarket bov on the car? you need to use that block plate. you cant run both. am i reading this right? thats what you are saying correct?

 

yeah, that's what i'm saying because that's what the directions called for from ATPturbo.com. no where in the directions did it state to remove the stock bypass valve (stock BOV). there's the pink line that was on it, and if i put the plate on i wouldnt have anywhere to put that pink vacuum line.

dude you have to take it off and put the block plate on.

 

take off the surge valve and cap the pink line. feel free to rip it out of the car if you want, i did. you need to t into a vacuum source near the throttle body and you'll be good to go.

 

maybe my BOV is gay and broken. even how I have it set up (that worked for another guy) the valve doesnt open or close when revved up. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK, i just wanted that cool noise to be Really****inLoud.. ** middle fanger to turboxs**
