good luck with that problem post it sounds like it may be a short in the wiring.

I'll be running out to see what I can do in a little bit.
I'd check wires and connections over there for anything unusual if you haven't already. Check the plug that the bulb goes into, it might have gotten corroded somehow.
I ordered a service manual cd off of ebay. It has the entire car's wiring diagram. I tried to copy and paste it for you, but I couldn't copy the pictures. It is like 10 bucks. Well worth it I think.

Thanks for trying to put up the diagrams. I have the manual, though. I bought it on Ebay for 5$. I found out after I bought it that you can download it for free. Fools on us. At least we have a pretty picture of a neon for a label on our service manual. Anyway, I read the wiring portion and compared diagrams, and nothing is crimped, worn, frayed, or corroded anywhere. In fact it looks like everything is perfect. This does not make sense.
I guess you should check fuses then. Even though that wouldn't make sense either because both bulbs should go out if you blow a fuse, but it wouldn't hurt just to make sure. I blew a fuse in mine when I was swappin in LEDs and all my lights went out...which was not a good thing because it was getting dark.[:@] Soon I looked in my fuse box I noticed one blew and all my lights came back on when I replaced it.
Where can we download the manual for free?
I would check the wires for Kinks and irregularites back to the fuse box. It sounds like your getting some sort of power spike in the line that just burns the elements out in the bulbs. Maybe the side marker wiring power is jumping into the headlight or the high beam current is jumping to the lo-beam filament spiking power to the filamen that cant handle the current?
