Electronics issue with my car?
Okay, unfortunately, someone hit the front right corner of my car the other day in a parking lot. Not too hard, but hard enough to shatter my side marker lamp and scratch the bumper pretty badly. The question I have regards the headlight. After the accident, the headlight was working, but burned out a day later. It didn't look blown, but I put one of the old stockers in. The stock bulb lit up fine, but after a few minutes of driving, it is out now, too.
I don't know what would cause this, does anyone know where I should start looking or how I should trouble-shoot this?
Thank you.

Both bulbs would be out if it was a fuse.

Odd thing is that a new bulb will stay lit for a few minutes, then go out. So a fuse wouldn't make sense. I inspected the wires and harness to the headlight and everything looks fine. There is no visible damage at all. ????????
I don't wanna' be a peddiddle anymore

I know...which is why I didn't say it before. When the bulb blows...does the high beam still work? Just curious, or is it only the low beam...maybe it will help solve your problem.

How many sets of bulbs have you tried in there? Maybe its just coincidence that you blew two bulbs. Otherwise that is really strange. I'm kind of stumped.[&:]

I don't think it is a coincidence, The first to blow was PIAA, The second a brand new Silverstar.
strange, indeed - you aren't the only one stumped.
I was thinking about the fact that the corner marker is exposed to the elements. If moisture got in there and possibly got the wires to the side marker wet, could it cause this? The marker works fine, just has no lens protecting it. Would it be possible to short just the low beams?

I suppose its possible. Funny you should say that. My right side marker was broken with the bulb exposed to the weather for a few weeks driving through the snow. And nothing of mine shorted out. I wouldn't recommend doing that...but I didn't realize I was driving around with no side marker for a few days. The bulb was still working when I replaced it with some LED bulbs. Is there any cracks in your headlight? I know you said your car got hit by the side marker...but I imagine moisture could make a bulb blow even though my side marker somehow magically never burned out.
Not sure - but the original marker is going in today. Luckily(i guess that is the word) the markers I have are Clear's and I still have the original to test it out. we'll see. Fingers are crossed.
