Idling rough...running lean need help
P0171-FUEL SYSTEM 1/1 LEAN
Im throwing that code....I dont know how or where to diagnose my problem...Its idling so rough at idle that it sounds like a v-8 camming. At wot my air fuels are in the 12's working up to 13's when they used to be in the safe 11's.
Im going to get a cheap set of stage one injectors off a forum member and swap them out to see if that fixes it...apparently im running lean somewhere...could my stock fpr be a problem?
Any help appreciated...Im pretty positive plugs and wires are good.

"A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor. "

Its the sensor located on top of your intake manifold. 2 short torx screws hold it in. Wires trace up underneath the injector cover.
FYI
Ours is a MAP sensor (Mass Air Pressure) as opposed to a MAF which is sensing flow. Same function. The MAP sensor compares signals to the TIP ( I believe it stands for Throttle Inlet Pressure) sensor which is located in the UPP. When signals are way out of wack, a CEL is thrown. This is very common once boost controllers are added.

I was wondering why you wrote "MAF" when all I know is MAP and TIP and TPS
Well my car isnt throwing a bunch of codes and running like crap...just the one code for running lean. I need to do a fuel pressure test but im unaware of how to go about doing it.
I checked the injectors today and they all seem to be fine.
