srt- eng.

There was an article on the SRT-4 engine, it's internals and all in the october 2003 issue of Sport Compact Car magazine. They tear it completely down, including the turbocharger and reviewed it all, they said it was a great strong engine that can handle far more horsepower than what it comes with from the factory. Here is a quote from part of that article, "The SRT-4 drag teams are rumored to be making between 800 and 1,200 hp on the stock crank (and stock block and bedplate), so we figure it's strong enough." Enough said.

i've seen the srt drag car, it is sick. daryll *** was at one of the sport compact events at etown this year and i got to see both his srt's run (the drag, and a 12s s2 eblue). i didn't get a chance to speak with him about the cars, but from what i have heard from those that know, yes his drag car is using stock crank and block.
