Default Insurance??

I know this should be the last thing on my mind, but.................I
got a quote from my auto insurance agent and it's 3 times what I'm
paying now for my 'sedan'. Do all you SRT owners pay this kind of
premium price for your coverage?

Thanks for your replies.

Frank

My insurance for the SRT alone is about $2300 for one year with allstate and that is the cheapest I have found. I have never had a ticket, wreck, never claimed anything on insurance, but I am under 25.

I can see the logic behind higher rates for younger drivers (before I get FLAMED, remember, I was young once too, and did some things in cars that make me believe in miracles in the fact that I'm here and ALIVE TODAY...)[sm=smiley36.gif]

What really gripes my rear end are the folks over 75 or 80 that drive and don't even know what is going on around them. My stepfather is 82 and has about 1% of his hearing (he refuses to wear a hearing aid) and drives a 2001 Mustang GT convertible. I'd rather ride point on a convoy in Iraq than ride with him, yet his rates are lower than mine. Go figure.

Haha! My grandma got a speeding ticket when she was 81. She is in perfect health and everything, she just drives like a maniac, little old lady from Pasadena.
My dad is 58 and has been driving for 44 years. He won't tell me but Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins have said that he must have close to 20 speeding tickets. I know for a fact that he's been charged with dangerous driving for burning out. I am 17 with two speeding tickets, both taken off my record. So technically I have no tickets, but somehow my insurance is more than his. [sm=smiley5.gif]

Age is a key factor, you will notice your first drop at 18 I do believe. I know that there is a drop at 25.

I just got my first "adjusted" bill from my insurance company (USAA). $271 a month!!
Yikes!!! That's almost as much as my SRT-4 payment! I'm going to raise my deductable to $500 and shop around when my policy expires in June...[:'(]
