Intercooler Question
Hey guys, I've been doing some searching but haven't been able to find anything helpful so I'm posting here.
I recently aquired a free SRT-4 stock intercooler and I was wondering how effiecient they were. What's the max boost you guys are running on the stock ones? I'm going to be using it on my '88 300zx using a t3/t04e 60 trim .63a/r turbo. I know it's probably a little too big for that intercooler but i'm going to temperarly run low boost. Does mitsubishi use this intercooler on any other car? If so which car? Thanks.

Why would Mitsubishi be using it?
It flows pretty well. It can carry a lot of air. Due to the shape, there are more efficient designs out there, but it can handle cooling from 20PSI on the stock turbo and 20PSI from the stage 3 turbo (although an upgrade in either case would yield some more power).

No. The Evos engine is all Mitsubishi. If you look at both the Eclipses 2.0L and the Evos 2.0L you will see that they are completely different, but if you look at the Eclipses and the Neons you will see that they are the same except that the intake and exhaust are on the opposite sides, the top and coil pack are the same.
