I'm just waiting for a mazdaspeed TT rx-8, that mother could be quite speedy. the '95 rx-7s are still one of the neatest cars out there, in my opinion.

but yeah, you could just about pwn him while asleep, that rotary lacks torque hardcore.

You have nothing to worry about. Just as bigddy9 said before, there is hardly any torque in the RX-8.

 

I smomed one early on. Before the S1 and before I was that good at launching it.

 

don't get it wrong fellas i love my srt-4 but the last gen rx7 would wipe the floor with it with a few mods to me it is one of the most dangerous cars to go against in terms of performance right up there with the supra.

 

i will go so far as to give you that the RX7 with a few mods (last gen only) will mod up a great many of us, including myself (in the RT),...on the other hand, the RX7 does not have the potential of the Supra...at all.

when i lived in PA, there was a shop called SEVENSPEED who specialized in rotary performance...the owner had several 7s...one blue one that ran 11s..another that was the "shop car" that was always parked in front of the store..it was identical replica of the Fast and the Furious RX7...it ran high 10s..with slicks...on the bottle...it was the fastest 3rd gen that i saw, and probably the nicest...it was very well done...no corners cut...it was the attraction at al of the local import shows...

on the other hand...there was a guy at my home track who had a single turbo conversion, full CF bodies last gen supra..on paradas, bottled, ran 9s smoking the tires on launch...with a cage, and 6 12s in the back...several amps...so on...it was riced out, but VERY fast...supras are on the highest level of imports for a reason...RX7s while nice cars, are not...

 

give 2 cars head start and you can still blow his doors out

 

i got an 05 srt-4 and an 05' rx-8 yes my srt will kick the rx-8 *** but it doesnt really bother me because its a different ride the rx-8 is fun to drive the suspension is much neater than the srt i put an intake exhaust midpipe and pulleys in the rx-8 and it not that slow it gets up much faster and top end it will kill the srt i also like the rx-8 because you can play around with it 360's and figure 8's all day long but im neutral i lkike them both
