My friend is getting one and I want to be able to shove his face in it after I beat him with a car that cost about 7 grand less. Also he's probably getting the auto trans and that one doesn't even have 200 hp

Yep, it's a win win situation for you either way as long as you can launch it even half way right.

 

Even if you launch bad you'll still get him. I raced a 6 speed RX-8 and totally blew the launch, still beat him, pretty bad. No torque in those things, they have to be wound up pretty far to start making power. I actually got a chance to drive my buddy's RX-8. It's a blast to drive, its just not that fast. Cool cars though.

especially if he gets his in automatic, it wont run as quick as a manual one would(which is still slower than an SRT-4)

 

i think its a dodge law that if you lose to a RX8 in an SRT-4, you are required to turn your SRT-4 back in, and get a minivan....ive seen the manual RX8s struggler to get into the 15s...with the autos running in the low 17s/high 16s...[:'(]

 

Yeah. I've heard of that law as well. I'm glad that rx-8 only got me by a half car length when I raced him on my mtn. bike.

Save the gas in that SRT-4, and let a regular Neon take him out.
