showing a P 0340 code need advice
A year late...
With a code reader you can reset the codes. My first Turbo, an '84 600ES, was my first ignition key read car, followed by my '88 Sundance Turbo 5sp, '89 Voyager Turbo Van, '90 Shadow Turbo ES 5sp, '93 Dakota 3.9L, and '05 Jeep Liberty (My vehicle.), as well as my wife's '05 SRT4. I splurged - $52 at Advance Auto - half off sale on the reader.
It's back to sporadically throwing P0344 - and I replug the sensor/reset the OBDII - it's okay for hundreds to thousands of miles - then missing - and the code is set. Maybe I need a MOPAR cam sensor? My wife is not a sedate driver. I eeked out 180k mi in 14.5yr from buying it off the showroom floor on my '90 Shadow ES Turbo - only changed the belts, radiator, and speed/odometer sensor (3x). My second wife - the SRT4 driver - taught herself how to drive a stick in it! It still had the original clutch. Upgraded to Performance computer, wires, and matched HO injectors at 55k - great car -sold it after the SRT4 was ordered.
