Cleaned Up the SRT-4
Finally got a change to get all the crud off the SRT-4 that it picked up in the shop and sitting out in the heavy pollen. The interior was as dirty as the exterior, especially the dash and the steering wheel. Somebody had really grubby hands when they were steering the car around the lot. (I checked the mileage when I picked it up and it had 1 mile more on it than it did when I dropped it off.) What's strange is that it appears they took the time to clean the carpet!!!
My "extra" cell phone was still in the glove compartment and the radar detector was still on the visor. They may not wash their hands, but at least they were halfway honest!!

Why didnt they clean the car before they returned it to you? When I got my car back from the body shop it was sparkling. And when I take it to my dealer for service, if its there all day, they clean it for me. Oh well guess it is kinda good that they didnt drive it anywhere on you. Dirtys better than beaten on.
The outside was clean except for the pollen that's been falling like rain for the last 2 weeks. Can't blame them for that. The interior was what surprised me, evidently the body shop guy wasn't used to getting in/out of an SRT-4, there were handprints all over and shoe/skuff marks on the doors. It all cleaned up OK.
Yeah, I've heard the stories about shops that take your car out for a "test drive".....I was keeping my fingers crossed!!

I always write the milage down when mine goes into the shop. When I got mine back from the body shop after it was broken into all my glove box contents were in the trunk because they had to replace the dash. they also put some of the nastiest tire shine on my tires. It took forever to get it off. To top it off the paint didn't match and they had to redo it.
thankfully my dads my mechanic, and since he worked at a dodge dealership for years and now has a shop, he knows how to and has the means to do almost anything my car would ever need, so I don't have to worry about punk kids "test driving my car to make sure everything's alright"

Thanks!! It's much easier to clean it in the springtime than it is in the middle of summer. The heat and humidity really zap you!!
BTW, those ARE stickers on the window, one for AMSOIL and one for K&N Filters, both of which I use!!
