Looking for performance info on the SRT-4

PSI chick, are you sure about your 1/4 miles times. I find it really optimist.

Sure you put a new driver behind the wheel and a 14.5 is not out of the picture, but with a decent driver who knows how to launch the srt-4, any of those times are achievable.
As far as top speed with staged upgrades and enough poewr goes:175.7508 is achievable with stock gearing.
I have seen 158 and still accelerating when I came up on traffic. This was before I had my car in its current configuration - I am sure it would top 160 no problem as it is now.
175 mph on stock gearing...wow! This is becoming an easier and easier decision...why haven't I bought one of these yet! I'm a complete idiot as far as FI...how do these hold up to nitrous? I'm assuming you wouldn't want to spray too much on the stock bottom end since you're already at high cylinder pressures.
actually the srt takes very well to nitrous. they run pig rich on the stage kits, so they can handle a wet shot pretty well. there's one guy that's running a 150 shot on stage 1...i'm not sure that i would suggest that, but a 75 shot is just fine. these cars also respond very well to w/i, i'm probably going to run it on my car later on this summer.
sorry the only thing that was bugging me about this thread was a 750 running 10's... bussas run low 10's gsx-r 1000s run high 10s but not a 750.
as for an srt 4 beating a 750+ id doubt it with out a lot of work. i took a guy on a cbr 600 that i thought was my friend (same bike and helmet) but turned out not to be. it was like a 40-85mph race before i let off because of traffic. i feel bad for that guy cause he should have beaten me and he did down shift, so i dont know maybe he was new to the bike.
but red99ta these cars accept mods very well and you can do a lot of fun stuff with them and you will be suprised how much less you can spend and get equal or better results then a evo or wrx.

snowperformance
there's some info there on water injection. basically you inject water/methanol into the cold side pipe, lowering egt's. this allows for more timing to be run, and reduces detonation and knock. most people are using the cooling mist kits on the srt's, however snowperformance makes some very nice kits as well, we use it on our mustang. i'm not sure if they have an application for the srt, i haven't checked into it yet.

Hey Gump,
You've got your times about 1 second off. Busas run very low 10's/high 9's stock. GSX-R 1000's run very low 10's and the 750's run around 10.3-10.5. I've never been a fan of the Busas b/c they're so fat and heavy...definately a straight line bike. I used to own a '00 CBR929RR that I got about a 10.3 out of. Anyways, the new 600's are even running mid 10's!! It's amazing how fast these things are but then again we're talking about around 600 pounds (rider included) and 130 RWHP....now if I could only get that power:weight ratio on my car!!
