Default Tires and Wheels

Hey all!

This summer I am planning on running my SRT at the local drag strip. I was hoping on getting a few recommendations as to what tires I should run. My plan was to pick up a set of G-force Drag Radials, but I'm not sure as to what combination of wheel and tire to go with. I'll have my stage 3 kit installed by then, and I also plan on switching back to the stock tires and wheels when not racing at the strip (so I'm hoping not to spend a ridiculous amount of money on the wheels as I won't be running them on the car 24/7). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

lol, bad idea to go with stock tires and wheels unless u ave some crazy suspension mods to go with the crazy(atleast 310 hp and325 tq)
power or your gonna be wheel hopping[sm=bounceybounce.gif] and spinning the wheels[sm=gears.gif] like crazy lol. but thats just my two cents
but yea g-force DR's are good, if u want max stick get hoosiers

LoL I hadn't thought of that...

It is my intention to "prep" the suspension with everything from the Mopar catalog before installing the stage 3, but I should still probably upgrade my wheels and tires for street use...any ideas there?

get at least a 7" wide street rim so you can run a 225 series tire.

for the track, i would suggest a 15" rim, and use either a 225/50 or a 235/60. the 225 requires at least a 6.5" rim and the 235's a 7". the kosei k1's are a good choice for the track if you can find them, or pt steelies for the 225's.

Off subject, but what is up with the front end of your car, woosh? Is that a body kit, yellow nose inserts, or a photochop. Whatever it is, it looks good. I like it a lot. It looks like a 2 door in the pic?

Photoshop There is a similar photo floating around on the web without the "mod's"... the picture is of the "prototype" SRT... I have the same yellow SRT pic on my computer, without the photoshop work

Oh - I had seen different prototype shots - different hood, Headlights and signals were in separate housings like the 2000 neon is was based on, and it was green or black...but ok. Too bad. Nice photochop.

Here is the original Neon SRT concept car, it was only made in black, and the following picture is of the SRT-4 pre-production (they added the openings on each side of the Ram's head emblem for the actual production models to aid in cooling). You can get this nose from Howell, here is a direct link to it http://www.howellautomotive.com/Howe...oducts_id=1350 :
