Default Mopar Exhaust

I am talking about part P4510461, how does it sound vs stock and does it in fact increase performance on a stock car? Also i have heard mention that it has a muffler and the stock one does not... what gives?

Ya' heard wrong. The mopar 2.5" Cat back has a single resonator. (I think we have 2 stock(it's been a while since I took mine out)) It makes the exhaust sound great. Lower and burblier and a tiny bit louder. See we don't need a mufler, so to speak (like srt4 driver said) as we have a turbo quieting things down a bit in front of our exhaust.

If you aren't heading north of 310 hp the mopar is great and the value is there. Above that 3" is a good idea.

You will get a SERIOUS increase in volume, and an noticeable increase in power, however with a 3" d/p.

The Mopar/Borla exhaust it mufflerless and actually replaces the two factory resonators with one larger resonator, still no mufflers. It sounds a little deeper and a little louder than stock, but not a whole lot more than the stock level. It does improve over time too.

I just installed my Mopar exhaust yesterday, very nice i'll tell yah. The sound it perfect, alittle deeper in tone but a hair above the stock volume not too big of a volume change. Very good purchase, I have only drove my car for one day and I love it already.

will a 4 in. dp fit in an srt4? and if so how big of gains are we talking over a 2.5 or 3?
i just read something where this guys car had a 4in. dp and was wondering if that was possible in he srt4 and also if it would be overkill with 400-450 hp?

Having a DP larger than the turbos outlet would be pointless, a 3" DP is perfect and everyone it seems makes them. I want to get the 3" kit from the turbo to the Mopar/Borla exhaust that Maxxfab has.

Then the damn thing gets hot and grows an inch. I gave up on aligning the exhaust, since once you drive it it is in a completely different position then when it's cool.[:@]

When I installed my exhaust this past Monday the tips were flush to the bumper and when i got done driving it the tips stuck ou a good 3/4" from the bumper. Yes it def. grows. Where I positioned my tips, they haven't moved yet. I torque the hell out of the clamps with a ratchet and a 2 foot pipe.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for a 3" dp that has the interchangeable cat and race pipe? And does it meet up well with the 2.5 mopar/cat exhaust?
