Vibration noise, Metal on metal sound, from dash!!
Ok here is the deal. You start accelerating, when you "get on it" increasing the torque on the engine, i start to hear a vibration noise. Sounds like it is coming from the dash, between my gauge cluster and my boost gauge. It happens in every gear when i step on it. Only in the beginning of each gear, when pressure is around 2-3psi. Could it be my boost gauge, b/c my gauge needle is at 2lb vaccum when the car is off and 22lb vaccum when the car is at idle and it only boosts to 10lbs. Please help the vibration noise is sooooo damn annoying. Thanks guys
Does the noise sound like it's from the interior? My first thought was maby a plastic vacuum line or something in the engine compartment buzzing against sheet metal. Look carefully at that.
That boost gauge does not take abuse well. I have gone through two of them.

It sounds like it is coming from inside my dash board between my gauge cluster and boost gauge. Is that normal for my boost gauge to do that?
No. If your sure its inside.......lift the upper IP panel, and remove the boost gauge hose and plug it. Better yet, if you still hear it after that, completly
remove the upper IP and have someone else drive while you locate the source. Good luck.

I agree with Rip. Have someone with you/or drive to pin point the rattle. Also, check ya glove compartment. It may be lose.
Sorry, I work at a dealer and Chrysler is "acronym crazy". IP stands for "instrument panel".

That is what I though it was Ripsiguy but you said IP panel so I didn't think that would have been Instrument panel panel. Thanks again I will let you know if I find the source.
Oops, yes that sounded pretty confusing. Sounds like something Forest Gump might say. LOL
