The bagde looks cheap and cheesy, they should have made it in the same script as the SRT-4 emblem. The better suspension and wider wheels and tires are the best part of the ACR package, it's also supose to be lighter in weight too.

The previous ACR Neons were all performance, they were stripped down Neons with stiffer springs and Koni adjustable struts. By stripped down I mean no A/C, no radio, no power options of any kind, no sunroof, some didn't even have power steering, they had a fast ratio manual rack and pinion. The '98 and '99 R/T's were basically ACR's with all the options available, the only other difference was that the ACR had the Koni adjustable struts and the R/T didn't, but the R/T did have the same springs as the ACR.

if you ask me, its a big waste of money...the only worthwhile thing is the suspension, the ACR badge is almost as horrendous as the pathetically-undersized 16' BBS's...
Have you ever tried driving on a good set of 225/45-16's? I think you would be surprised. The acr's are a good bit lighter than stock, and an inch wider. I think people put too much emphasis on big (bling) wheels where all you get in reality is more weight and good looks.

On value, i don't think it is a big waste of money; can you show me where you can get a lightweight set of wheels, suspension bits, a lightweight spare, (and a crappy badge) for 1200$?

i'm not trying to say that the 16s dont necessarily have a purpose, as they are lighter, but I think they should have at least had 17s, if not 18s on something that's a better package of the SRT-4...

I will add, that I am going to go with a set of lightweight 17x7.5's to replace the stockers; either ssr's or forged traklites, but they are going to cost me a lot more than 1200$ for the wheels and tires.

Between my brakes, suspension, and wheels/tires - I am sure I will spend more than 5000$ total. But that is a different ballgame.

If you were to compare what you can buy yourself for 1200$ to what you get from dodge (Acr) you will find that it is more than fair.
If they were to equip the package the way higher end tuners want it it would be much more $ and frankly, High-end tuners want choice and individuality and I wouldn't expect the package to sell.

The larger wheels improve handling by reducing the tires sidewall height, but they generally do also weigh more. From the numbers I've seen the ACR is no lighter than the regular SRT-4. The shipping weight on mine was 2,869 lbs. and the weight according to mph magazine on the ACR is 2,984 lbs. I have yet to see the weight of any other ACR's or any other tests of them.
