Blocking one side of stock exhaust?????
That does sound like Andy alright. There is said to be a very slight power gain by running a single outlet exhaust rather than having a dual outlet, but this does not mean simply plugging one off, it would have to be one pipe straight out. This is one of the reasons why there are a few single outlet exhausts out there for the SRT-4, but I haven't seen any dyno proven to have greater gains than a dual outlet of the same size and design.
How could a single back exhaust give more power than dual? Unless the single flows more air than the dual which is pretty unlikely. Does the SRT-4 need a certain amount of back-pressure for max power?

Add to that that if you add a spiral twist to the single pipe, you can speed airflow even further, theoretically.
Dodge did do a lot of testing though and I am sure they had their reasons for going with the dual

yeah..and if that adds 30hp...i have some "mopar performance" windshield decals that will add another 25hp...shown below...

and that big heavy car ran 12.60s last year! imagine what that sticker, and blocking off one side of the exhaust could do for a nice light SRT4!
