I have had my Srt-4 for a mont, ordered it in Iraq. ( have roughly 750 miles on it) I figured with a turbo it would be better to use synthetic is this correct ? when can I switch to synthetic oil and what do you all reccomend for the Srt? I recently traded my Wrx in for a 05 Srt-4 ( more upgradeable) and definately feels stronger.
For about $ 1200.00 what are some good upgrades to purchase ?
I have about 10k to spend but want to start slow ( wife drives it also ).
Thanks

Mobil 1 synthetic and you can switch to it anytime you like, most change it first thing.
Yep, it all depends on what you want more as to what to spend your first $1,200 on.

ditto, but, if you want power go s2 and/or intake, handling, get mopar coilovers or sway bars, my $0.02

RE: New Srt Owner/ few questions
I just put the Eibach Pro Kit opn my 05 SRT-4. Looks good, but a little stiffer. What do you guys do as far as sway bars. I am new to all this, so the sway bars are what goes from the top of the shock tower to the other shock tower under the hood and in the trunk right?

No, those are strut tower braces. DC makes a set for 90$ front/90$ rear. I hear the pwerks are real nice for the cost@40 per. They make the car more stable and linear in turns by unifying the 2 strut towers and stiffening the car.ORIGINAL: jmart233

Sway bars are under the car and affect the suspension. They keep the car from rolling in turns. They make a much greater difference than stb's, IMO. I have a set I bought from performance dodge (james rocks) that went for 120$ shipped (26mm front from PT GT and 19mm rear from ACR). Hotchkis makes an excellent product, and progress does as well, but at 3-4 times the price, and they are a little too stiff to drive on the street. The budget bars make a huge difference in handling.

. Also mopar sells rear tension struts that will aid in handling under heavy brake load for approx. 40 $.
I have all 3 and am veeeeeerrrry happy with the way my car handles now.
