Stage 3 kit
I dont have a prob with NOS, I have a problem with its effect on my baby. I am not looking into building a motor that will sustain the long term effects of NOS, therefore not going to touch it. I dont think nitrous is cheap hp at all... When it boils down to it, its hp!
I like going fast, and I like getting set back in my seat. If I wasnt concerned about the long term, I would run nitrous as well. If it was considered "cheap hp," what is wrong with cheap hp. Lets get real guys, the only real reason we are all here is because of "cheap hp." The SRT-4 is the best bang for the buck, and the best upgrades for your money. So.... I dont even see anything wrong with nitrous becuse its not that expensive and it makes your car alot faster, I just dont like the long term effects.
Thanks
Andrew

well you can either do direct port injection or put a jet into the cold side pipe. the system is usually controlled by an intake temp sensor, so when the sensor sees a certain preset temperature, it starts the pump to inject water/alcohol/methanol or whatever mix you're using. sometimes the systems are run through stand alones which are have more control over the system and when it turns on (includes variables such as a/f, throttle position, etc.). they all have an on/off switch so that you're not running it all the time and using all your mix in the tank.
the main purpose of w/i is to reduce egt's and prevent detonation.
