Possible Purchase of SRT4 ACR
Hey Guys and Gals,
I'm new to your forum and am considering purchasing of a new SRT4 ACR. I currently have an 03 Evolution with 290 WHP. I respect both cars which is why I'm considering the SRT. My Mitsu has been trouble free for 55,000 miles on the original clutch. However, time for something new.
I'm looking for the little push I need to get the SRT. So that being said some honest persuation would be helpful with your thoughts on the SRT.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
PS I know you people are prejudiced and have a right to be, just looking for some input on this decision.

I do not like what I have seen of the future neon replacement at all. The universal 2.4l platform is lame, IMO, unless they make a coupe, sedan, or even hatch, and the weak cross between durango and neon is a loser .
2wd is my preferred method of propulsion anyway. - Don't get me wrong the launch and handling potential of 4wd is noteworthy, but the fun factor just really isn't as high for me. Also, IMO, there is too much drivetrain power loss, and stuff to go wrong, with extra differentials and couplings. And with the shape of the new car as they have shown it so far, it is going to be less wide/more tall and that also sux...
They should definitely think about keeping a good representative in the SPORT compact market. That monstrousity is no Sport concept at all. More of a compact truck/sav.
