No biggie, Mopar took care, free overnight shipping both ways, on them. Also, I have not seen it mentioned here, but you folks should know that used Stage 1 PCMs can be reflashed for use in another car. It can be done two different ways.

Nope, owners have done it. Both procedures are from the DCX powertrain book and have been tested to work by reputable SRTforums guys. They are posted as stickies in the how-to section over there.

you mean to say i can get the stage 2, and sell my stage one used and recoupe the price? i guess that's another reason not to wait for the stage 3.

 

Megaman, yep, that's it exactly. It won't be common til after folks start recieveing Stage 2 kits (like me ) but there are at least three, maybe four SRT's driving around right now with Stage 2 kits that came from other vehicles. One guy with an 04 bought a used Stage 1 from someone that did not work. The reflash process did, because the car ran for more than 3 seconds. But turns out the previous owner of that kit had had problems with it also. AND, that same previous owner had taken money from at least one other person. That situation is still being resolved I think. But, yes, a Stage 1 can be reflashed, but only 03 for 03, 04 for 04.

Au contriare, it makes a great paperweight. Or use it to fill up that packaging the Stage 1 PCM came in. Kinda like recycling.
