Hey guys, I was wondering what ya'll thought about the Mazda3. Stock form it's obviously not a match for an SRT4; but now that there's going to be an aftermarket turbo for it, is it actually something to consider as a rival? I guess Mazda is going to turbocharge their Mazda3 from the factory for 2006 or 2007 as well; it'll be interesting to see what happens.

I'm not here to start a flame war or anything; I just noticed that most of the talk is always about the STI/Evo/WRX debate; will the Mazda3 be on par with the SRT4 or just playing second fiddle?

 

I really dont think it will match up. then engine isnt set up for a turbo so it would require a lower compression to make the turbo woth anything, and even then i dont think it would put out the same performance. its around the same weight so thats a plus for the mazda... and the specs im using are from the 2.3L
