no, those wouldn't take control from the ecu. i took a quick look at your cardomain page and thought that you had done a wga from a pic and was speaking as though you had. so forget what i said lol.
since you have the stock set up still, then for you it's probably the tps wiring issue. if your car is in the shop right now (i'm assuming dealership?) then call them and have them check the tps wiries as well.

TPS/TB - I am lost like last years Easter Egg also, what is the tps and tb and where are they located?
How do you clean them ? You had also mentioned too much tension, can I correct this also ?

tps is the throttle positioning sensor. tb is the throttle body. you can locate both of these on the cold side ic pipe. if you remove your airbox (if you still have the stock one) and just look at the piping it's right there on top.
the tension is the tps issue. basically the wires are too short and the engine movement causes them to begin to seperate from the harness. you can do one of two things, well three, to fix this. the first is to wait until it's a problem and get it fixed under warranty. if you don't want to wait, then you have two options. one is to get the tps harness kit from performance dodge. this is what they use to fix it when you bring it to the dealer. it's not that expensive if i remember correctly. the other option is to do it yourself and splice in some wire to extend the existing wires in the harness.

For people like me who have ruled out all of the problems related to oil in the t/b, tps sensor contamination...(there are a large number of srt-4 drivers having this problem in the northeast)...there has got to be another explanation.

The last few paragraphs refer to heat issues, and seasonal fuel blends - both of which can cause the issue. I wonder if something in there explains it properly.

When reading the title of the thread, I thought it initially meant that the vehicle was hard to start up in the morning.
I have the "chug" too. Its only spark plugs and wires if it feels like your driving over "broomsticks" (as it states in the proper TSB for the 4th plug wire thats bad on 03s and early 04s). And thats a direct quote too. Mine does that too, its a skippy little car, you just have to really get the knack of where your foot is supposed to be exactly on the gas while slowly accelerating (i.e. in traffic).
As for hard starting. My car would crank 4-8/9 times before starting, and has done it and gotten progessively worse over the past month. Come to find out after strapping a fuel pressure gauge on it when it first shut off, it rested at 60psi. In less than 2 hours my fuel pressure was down to 22psi. Needless to say my fuel pump **** the bed. If your having the same start up/crank problems, and if your getting ****ty gas mileage when you used to do good on gas....have your dealer check that out. My new pump goes in Friday morning.

PSI Chick I already had the TPS re wired with a new harness done under warranty. Sounds like the diagnosis is getting harder and harder. No control over my ecu on boost and the TPS harness is new with lengthened wires, also new iridium plugs & MSD wires. What could it be, I have been having very poor gas milage (i.e. 170 maybe on a tank, which is BULL) could it be the fuel pump causing this problem. I had the TPS screwed up for such a long time, which was sending too much fuel into my engine for a while, maybe that caused my fuel pump to go.
m ine to is starting to expirience a problem under deceleration it keeps accelerating just enough to keep forward momentum its weird no issues under boost or on the gas but on decel when completely off the gas .any help would be greatly apreciated.
I have also noticed my exhaust tips are still dark ( looks like it is running rich) I placed the $20 OCC on it helped but still see the tips dark. I know when I race Moto x you tune you bike by looking at your plug. I only have 1400 miles on my car and I may go ahead and replace the plugs and wires. I also wonder will I have to replace the fuel pump before long ? What is the average timeframe they last ?
