Default Hard to start

Is this normal for Srt's in the mornings ? It roughly 70 degrees + here in now. I was just wondering if your all srt's were the same.
It either wants to go or stop doesn't like to cruise at constant speed in lower gears ?

Thanks
Rock

You're right the SRT's do not like to steady cruise in low gear, you kinda get a chuging motion going in your car, unless you can be light with your foot on your gas pedal. This morning I was a rough starting day for me, temp was about 57 degrees, not really cold, but when I start to go in first it has a very hard time not stalling, I tend to rev up the r's slightly to keep it from stalling. It all the sudden started doing this, it may be that I don't let my car warm up enough. For the go and stop, the SRT really likes the go it doesn't like the constant speed in low gear, I noticed that the week I got the car, a year ago. Your gas foot will get used to it, you just need to have a light foot. You wil get used to it. Later

clean the tps and tb. that helps with the hard start.

i've never had a problem cruising in lower gears, what exactly is the car doing when you say that it doesn't like it?

The car starts to chug forward to back, if you are not on the gas right. When clean the tps and tb how would you go about do that.

get a can of tb cleaner go spray them down. it's pretty simple, shouldn't take more than an hour to remove, clean, and reinstall.

what your describing is called partial throttle boost. it's a problem that is commonly seen in cars that are modded using s1/wga/mbc, or have taken away control of the boost in any way from the ecu.

I'm having the same issue with mine.. but the only thing is, it is like that from the start, AND also after it gets warmed up, like around 70-110 mph when you give it gas it is very sputtery. (if thats even a word!) I thought maybe my wires and plugs might be bad and thats causing it to do this or maybe a boost leak cause the boost will spool up and then stays at the psi for just a sec and then drops really quick.. I only have 6239 miles on it and its still stock! So i guess this is normal? any ideas?[sm=dontgetit.gif]

when the psi spikes and drops, what is it spiking to and what is it holding? it's normal for the car to spike and drop a little, that's how they run, but if it's dropping too much then there's a problem. also, what are your mods?

the sputtering is probably plugs and wires, they should be changed anyway as the stock ones are junk.

STEFS SRT4 - Your TBS wires may have tension on them causing an inacurrate fuel consumption (sending too much fuel) my TBS ground wire came loose from tension stress on the wires. check that out, for you "sputtering" dealer may have to lengthen them, mine were lengthten and so were my buddies.

PSI Chick- So partial throttle boost can cause the chuging problem in low gears at a constant speed? I am going to have to run out tomorrow and do that with the TB, My car is in the shop right now for a new boost gauge. Thanks for the advise.

My car is still STOCK! Sorry, this is probably a stupid question, but what is TBS wires? Im sorry new to this car! I'm going to change the plugs and wires this weekend and see if that helps.
As far as the boost, it will boost to 15psi and hold for a second and then drop to like 5! and im not letting off the gas. is that big of a drop normal when im not letting off the gas?

yes, that's the infamous ptb issue. the only way to get rid of it is to give control back to the ecu. otherwise you have to learn to live with it.
